ADSB to unveil major naval defence projects

Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) is showcasing its latest major naval defence projects at the second Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (Dimdex 2010) which opened Monday.

The 3-day defence expo is being held with the support of the Qatar Armed Forces and hosted by the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces. Dimdex will run till March 31 at the Doha Exhibition Center.

ADSB is hosting a special VIP reception on the first day to showcase key projects led by its new 72m Baynunah Class Corvettes.

ADSB Chairman Homaid Al Shemmari will join special guests in discussing regional and international maritime trends and opportunities during the VIP Reception.

The shipbuilder will also launch its new website and present 4 of its most popular vessels: 72m Corvettes and 27m Patrol Boats for the UAE Navy; 64m Landing Craft exported to the Royal Navy of Oman; and 16m High Speed Interceptors for the UAE Critical National Infrastructure Authority.

ADSB will display its Baynunah vessels operating on the sea for the first time and introduce visitors to its new branding strategy at its 99 sqm stand.
