Saudi Chief of General Staff Receives Kuwaiti Counterpart

The Saudi Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili received Wednesday Kuwaiti Army Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Pilot Bandar Salem Abdullah Al-Muzain and his accompanying delegation.

The two sides held a meeting at General Staff headquarters in Riyadh, where they reviewed bilateral cooperation in military matters and discussed ways to enhance it. They also discussed topics of mutual interest.

Several senior officers from both sides attended the meeting, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Furthermore, the Chief of the Kuwait Army praised the “professional” techniques employed by a Saudi-led Islamic alliance to fight terrorism, saying such methods are instrumental in keeping at bay the threats of extremist groups.

Amid his visit to the headquarters of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), the Kuwaiti Army Chief was briefed on the latest endeavors the military body has taken, which include research and studies that aim to push forward the fight against terrorism.

Acknowledging Kuwait’s contributions towards counterterrorism efforts, the pan-Islamic Coalition’s Secretary General, Major General Mohammad Al-Moghedi, said these Kuwaiti initiatives have given impetus to global anti-terrorism operations, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Lastly, the Commander of the Joint Forces and Deputy Chief of the General Staff, First Lieutenant General Mutlaq bin Salem Al-Azima, received the Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant General Pilot Bandar Salem Al-Muzain at the Joint Forces Command.

During the reception, they reviewed the coordination and continuous support of the Saudi-led coalition countries to achieve the desired goals and aspirations to support the legitimate Yemeni government.
