Royal Saudi Air Force, US Air Force Start ‘Combat Readiness’ Exercise

The bilateral exercise ‘Combat Readiness’ between the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces and the U.S. Air Force has started at King Abdullah Airbase in the Western Sector, it was reported in Riyadh Monday.

The drill, which began on Friday, aims at enhancing means of joint military cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two sides, the report said.

In another development, the Commander of King Abdulaziz Military College Major General Dr. Ali bin Saleh Ibrahim Alhudaif received at the College headquarters in Riyadh Monday, the President of Iraqi Defense University for Higher Military Studies Lieutenant-General Saad Mazhar Al-Alaq, heading a delegation composed of representatives of the Iraqi National Defense University, the Center for Strategic Studies and Research, the Language Institute, and the Military Academy as well as the Iraqi military attaché in Saudi Arabia.

Alhudaif escorted the delegation on a tour of the College facilities, including the sports facilities, education facilities and student battalion, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The visit comes as part of the two sides’ efforts to boost cooperation and enhance issues of mutual interest in the educational and training fields.
