Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Starts New Drills

Iran has started the major phase of a series of military exercises, codenamed "Shohaday-e Vahdat” (Martyrs of Unity), in Khaf general zone, East of Iran, Fars reported.


Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, Commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other top Iranian Military Officials were present at the drills.

"The Land Forces will showcase the strength of the Iranian military, and they aim to protect Iran's Eastern borders and the security of the region, Commander of the IRGC's Land Forces Mohammad Pakpour said.

On Saturday the IRGC Ground Forces kicked off the series of these military exercises.

Earlier, Fars reported that the Ground Force units of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) exercised asymmetric tactics on the second day of their war games in Eastern Iran on Sunday, spokesman of the drills said.
