Joint Training Unit of Egyptian Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority Obtains ISO Certificates

As a culmination of the efforts of the Egyptian Armed Forces and the support it gives to the scientific system within educational facilities and specialized training units to graduate generations capable of serving the country with science and knowledge, a joint training unit of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority obtained a quality management certificate in accordance with international specifications (ISO 9001) for the year 2015, a quality of educational institutions certificate (ISO 21001) for the year 2018, and the food safety system certificate (ISO 22000) for the year 2018.

Major General Ahmed Al-Azzazi, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, delivered a speech, during the ceremony of handing over the certificates, in which he affirmed the keenness of the Armed Forces to meet with all international standards, in favor of the quality of the educational process, and to raise the specialized scientific level, based on the studied scientific foundations and in line with the successive developments of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority of the work and tasks and its role in Homeland service.

The ceremony was attended by a number of leaders of the Armed Forces, the Egptian Ministry of Defense reported.

In another development, General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with a number of Special Forces personnel, at the airborne corps headquarters, which comes within the framework of the periodic meetings, that the General Command of the Armed Forces conducts to unify concepts regarding various issues and topics related to the Armed Forces.

Major General Mohamed Mahmoud Awad, Commander of the Airborne Corps, delivered a speech, at the beginning of the meeting, during which he affirmed that the personnel of the Special Forces work with determination to preserve the capabilities of the homeland. He also referred to the support that the General Command of the Armed Forces provides to its personnel, within the integrated system of units and formations of the Armed Forces, in order to accomplish their tasks efficiently and competently.

General Mohamed Zaki delivered a speech during which he conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the personnel of the Special Forces. He also pointed out that the fighters of the Special Forces are distinguished by their professional techniques, during the implementation of their assigned tasks, commensurate with the nature of their work in protecting the homeland and preserving its sanctities. He praised their heroic role and sacrifices to preserve the security of the homeland.

General Mohamed Zaki affirmed that the Armed Forces has achieved an unprecedented leap in the development of combat training methods, and it will always work according to a firm faith belief that puts the interests of the nation above any consideration. He recommended the Special Forces personnel to maintain the highest levels of combat efficiency and follow the advanced training methods, adopted on the studied scientific bases, to maintain their high performance.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces also conducted a dialogue with the personnel of the Special Forces, during which he addressed the development of the situation in the region and its impact on Egyptian national security. He also listened to their views and inquiries on various issues. He praised the conscious understanding and full awareness of the various issues and topics.
