Bahrain’s Commander-in-Chief Receives Peninsula Shield Forces Commander

Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received Commander of the Joint Peninsula Shield Forces Major General Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Balawi (photo).

Defense Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, and BDF Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant General Dheyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, were present.

The Commander-in-Chief praised the efforts of the Joint Peninsula Shield Forces in boosting common goal and destiny binding the GCC countries, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Furthermore, Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa also received US Military Attaché Colonel John Gondol.

The Commander-in-Chief praised the historical relations between Bahrain and the US.

The meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest, and ways to strengthen Bahraini-American relations at various levels, especially military and defense cooperation.

Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi was also present at this meeting.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister of Bahrain, received the Commander of the Royal Armored, Major General Rashid Abdullah Al Noaimi, at Riffa Palace in Manama.

During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, praised the central role played by the Bahrain Defense Force’s (BDF) Royal Armored in preserving the Kingdom’s sovereignty and its achievements, for over half a century, alongside other units of the BDF.

In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister noted the importance of the continued development and modernization of the BDF, in line with its strategy led by HM the King.

Major General Rashid then presented HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister with a commemorative gift marking the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Armored.

HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and Prime Minister extended his gratitude and appreciation to all personnel serving in the Royal Armored, including its founding members, and praised their efficiency and combat readiness.

HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and Prime Minister concluded by wishing all BDF military personnel further development as they continue to contribute to preserving the nation’s achievements and ensuring its security and stability.
