The CEOs of Renault Trucks Defense (RTD) and Défense Conseil International (DCI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the joint promotion of capability offers for international armed forces.

This approach fosters joint projects built around the reputation of the vehicles offered by RTD combined with the training, consulting and operational assistance services that DCI can provide.

RTD designs, manufactures and markets a comprehensive range of tactical and logistic vehicles, wheeled armored vehicles and propulsion systems for armored vehicles, capable of responding to the needs of armed forces. DCI's complementarity and the global offer proposed will promote the "French Team" with regard to export customers.

“We recognize Défense Conseil International as a major player in the transfer of defense know-how in areas as important as the operation and training of armed forces. It is through partnerships between French team champions that we will all together contribute to promoting the French defense industry,” said Emmanuel Levacher, CEO of RTD.

“We share a common vision with Renault Trucks Defense and all its teams and we are confident in our approach: together provide capability offers built around dual French operational and technological excellence. I'm sure that this novel approach will provide a comprehensive, sustainable response to the expectations of our customers and give the integrated offer a meaningful purpose,” said Jean-Michel Palagos, Chairman and CEO of DCI.

DCI’s mission is to transfer French military know-how to the armed forces of nations friendly with France. DCI is the reference operator of the French Ministry of Defense, offering services that are certified “French Forces Training”. For over 40 years, it has been present across the full spectrum of defense and national security services, offering Consultancy, Training and Technical Support. Thanks to its capacity-based approach, DCI offers countries that are friendly with France customized solutions for personnel training and equipment maintenance.

In addition to its Paris headquarters, DCI operates several international training centers throughout France. It also has bases outside France: in Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, in Southeast Asia with Malaysia and Singapore and, more recently, in India and Brunei. DCI is continuing to expand internationally with innovative, high added-value services through the development of new partnerships, particularly in Asia and Latin America. The DCI group has 986 employees and reported sales of €240 million in 2014.
