Indian Chief of Naval Staff Concludes Visit to Oman

Rear Admiral Saif Nassir Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received in his office at Al Murtafaa Garrison Monday Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff in the Republic of India (photo), who is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged viewpoints and discussed a set of naval matters of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials from both sides, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

For his part, Major General Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) also received in his office at Al Murtafaa Garrison the Chief of the Naval Staff in the Republic of India.

The meeting was attended by Rear Admiral Saif Nassir Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), senior RAO officers and the Military Attaché at the Indian Embassy in Muscat.

Meanwhile, General Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office received the Chief of the Naval Staff in the Republic of India and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman and the Indian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman.

Moreover, Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff in the Republic of India also visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). He was accompanied during the visit by Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO).

Upon the guest’s arrival at the Centre, he was greeted by the Acting Head of the MSC.

During the visit, the guest and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the centre in the safety of the Omani maritime environment. They also toured the MSC’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies used in carrying out its national duties.

Lastly, Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff in the Republic of India visited the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) Museum.

During the visit, the guest was briefed on the march of SAF’s development. He also toured various sections of the museum and viewed its glorious military heritage.
