Oman’s Chief of Staff Receives Japanese, Kuwaiti Delegations

Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) received in his office at Al Murtafaa Garrison today a delegation from the Ministry of Defense in Japan, headed by Miura Jun, Director General for International Affairs of the Bureau of Defense Policy in the Japanese Ministry of Defense.

The two sides exchanged views and discussed several topics of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Hamed Abdullah Al Balushi, SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning and the Military Attaché at the Embassy of Japan in Muscat, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

The Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) also received in his office at Monday a delegation from the Retired Officers Association in the State of Kuwait, headed by retired Major General Faisal Al Jazzaf, Chairman of the Retired Officers Association of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, Vice President of the World Veterans Federation for the Middle East.

The two sides exchanged cordial conversations and discussed various topics.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Hassan Ali Al Mujaini, Head of Moral Guidance and Military Protocols and a number of Senior COSAF Officers.

In another development, the Omani Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and the Maritime Security Center (MSC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to enhance cooperation in the field of investigating aircraft and marine accidents.

The MoC was signed by Eng. Said Hamoud Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), Chairman of the Maritime Security Committee.
