Egyptian President Makes Brief Visit to Saudi Arabia

President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt arrived in Riyadh Monday evening to get reassured of the health of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

At Riyadh airbase, he was received by Deputy Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier, Advisor to and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Egypt's ambassador to the Kingdom Afifi Abdul-Wahab and senior protocol officials.

After a red-carpet welcome, President El-Sisi had a short break at the VIP lounge.

Escorted by Deputy Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, President El-Sisi headed for King Abdul-Aziz Medical City for National Guard where the monarch is hospitalized.

President El-Sisi was accompanied by Minister of Planning Dr. Ashraf Al-Arabi; Minister of Domestic Development Adel Labeeb; Minster of Petroleum Eng. Shareef Ismail; Minister of Housing Dr. Mustafa Matbooli; Minister of Electricity Dr. Salem Shaker; Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shukri and Director of the President's Office Major General Abbas Mustafa Kamel.

Earlier, El-Sisi made his first official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he was received on Sunday by UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
