Lockheed Martin hosted on Monday a celebration to commemorate the half-century collaboration and partnership with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

His Royal Highness Lieutenant General Prince Feisal Ibn Al-Hussein was present to mark the occasion, accompanied by other senior members of the Jordanian Armed Forces.

Addressing the gathering, Anthony Winns, Lockheed Martin’s Middle East-Africa Regional Executive, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to Jordan and its Armed Forces. He commended the country’s efforts towards strengthening regional security. Winns presented His Royal Highness Lieutenant General Prince Feisal with a painting to commemorate Lockheed Martin’s strong partnership with the Kingdom over the last 50 years, and a promise to build upon this close relationship through the next decades.

Commenting on Lockheed Martin’s long partnership with Jordan, Winns remarked: “The past 50 years demonstrate our steadfast commitment to the Kingdom of Jordan. We are very honored and proud to mark this historic milestone with His Royal Highness Lieutenant General Prince Feisal, and will continue to carry our legacy of innovative excellence and collaboration with this great nation.”

Lockheed Martin began its partnership with Jordan with the delivery of the first F-104s. This was soon followed by the arrival of the L-1011 to the late King Hussain’s Royal Flights, and then F-104s, C-130s, F-16s, radars and munitions. Lockheed Martin’s association with Jordan is regarded as one of its longest relationships in the Middle East.

Currently, Lockheed Martin has over 15 different products and services in Jordan, and works with the Jordanian Armed Forces to improve and supplement their capabilities.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs approximately 97,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.
