Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), a leading national partner of the defense and security sector, and one of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) companies, has recently restructured its Board of Directors.

The new Chairman of the Board of Directors is now Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud; members include Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, Engineer Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Biyari, Yasir bin Abdullah Al-Salman, Engineer Omar bin Hamad Al-Madhi, and Engineer Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Suqair.

Prince Khalid bin Salman; born 1988, is a Saudi Arabian diplomat, and politician who serves as the Saudi Arabian Minister of Defense. He was appointed Defense Minister on 27 September 2022.

Prior to that, Prince Khalid was appointed as Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United States in April 2017.

SAMI CEO Walid bin Abdulmajeed Abu Khalid hailed the efforts of the previous Board which managed to lead it to become one of the world’s top 100 specialized defense companies.

SAMI was established in 2018 by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) to contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by localizing 50% of the Kingdom’s defense spending.

SAMI has been playing an essential role in developing the capabilities of its defense system and enhancing its self-sufficiency through its growing portfolio of products and services across its business sectors.
