Bahrain’s National Guard Commander Meets Commander of Fifth Corps of Pakistani Army

General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, met in Karachi Tuesday with Lieutenant General Baber Iftikhar, Commander of the Fifth Corps of the Pakistani Army.

His Highness commended the advanced levels of cooperation and exchange of expertise between the National Guard and the Pakistan Army.

He further affirmed the continuation of efforts towards strengthening bilateral relations in the interest of the two Nations.

The meeting reviewed topics of common interest and ways to develop cooperation and coordination at all military levels, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The National Guard Commander was briefed by Brigadier Ghulam Abbas, Director General of the Coast Guard, about the tasks and duties of the Coast Guard and the various training and operational aspects of the Pakistani Coast Guard.

Lieutenant General Baber Iftikhar, Commander of the Fifth Corps, commended the strength of Pakistani-Bahraini relations and the development and growth they are witnessing at various levels, extending his thanks to HH Shaikh Mohammed, for his continued efforts in strengthening the close relations.

In another development, Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander met in Manama with Brigadier General Mohammed Rashid Al Mutairi, the newly appointed Military Attaché at the Kuwaiti Embassy to Bahrain.

HH commended the deep-rooted Bahraini-Kuwaiti ties and the level of cooperation between the two countries.
